CERN Learning Hub (Technical Training)

A number of training courses related to WinCC OA as well as JCOP and UNICOS framework are available through the CERN Learning Hub, notably

  • JCOP Framework and WinCC-OA : 4.5-day hands-on training introducing the most important features and concept of WinCC OA and JCOP Framework. Recommended to everyone who needs to developing with WinCC OA. A couple of instances of the course are organized every year, depending on demand (please, consider inscribing even if there are no places at the nearest course, to express your interest, and signal the need through your Controls Coordinator.

  • UNICOS-CPC basic course : 2x2 days training for engineers who wish to develop control systems with the UNICOS-CPC framework. Main focus of the course is put on PLC programming with the CPC package, yet some basic concepts of WinCC OA are also presented.
  • JCOP Finite State Machines : 2.5-day training for users who are already familiar with WinCC OA, covering advanced development using the JCOP FwFSM component used for integration of large control systems in the Experiments.

Note that you should not consider the training participation at a particular date guaranteed until you get an ultimate confirmation from the CERN Training team. Prior to taking the training it is mandatory to become a registered WinCC OA user and hence have access to WinCC OA downloads and licenses assured.
